3. Submission of manuscripts
If you wish, you can send your manuscript prior to being submitted through the website, to the Editorial Committee at the following email: revistamedicina@ufm.edu
Once the submission has been approved by the Editorial Committee, the author will be notified about initial corrections prior to the review round. Once the submission passes to the peer review round, it will be evaluated by two reviewers. If there are corrections, the author will be notified about them or it will go directly to production.

6. Brief explanation of the components of the text
Summary and Abstract: It is characterized by:
be able to be understood without having to read part or all of the article;
be written in concrete terms, developing the essential points of the article;
will follow the order of the general outline of the manuscript, that is: introduction, objective(s), methodology, results, discussion and conclusions;
It will not include material or data not cited in the text.
It must be in Spanish and English.
Keywords: Include 3 to 6 keywords that identify the content of the work for inclusion in repertoires and national and international biomedical databases. Translation of keywords into English is added.
Introduction: The review of references necessary so that the reader can understand the importance of the work is included.
Objective(s): The purpose(s) or purpose(s) of the publication are indicated. They can be between one and three.
Methods: The center where the experiment or research was carried out, the duration, the experimental design, the hypothesis to be tested, the selection criteria used, the techniques and instruments used, are indicated, providing sufficient details so that a given experience can be repeated on the basis of this information. It is important that the statistical analyzes used are detailed.
Results: They report, not interpret, the observations made with the material and methods used. These data can be published in detail in the text or in the form of tables or figures.
Discussion: Their own opinions are offered on the topic: 1) the significance of the practical application of the results; 2) considerations about a possible inconsistency of the methodology and the reasons why the results may be valid; 3) the relationship with similar publications and a comparison between areas of agreement and disagreement, and 4) directions and guidelines for future research.
Conclusions: The result of the research is synthesized based on the discussion.
Bibliographic references: They are included according to the order of appearance in the text with the corresponding correlative numbering. The article will always have numbering in a superscript number according to the NLM style (see the "Guides and templates for download" section). Journal names should be abbreviated according to the style used in Index Medicus; consult the “List of Journals Index” included every year in the January issue of Index Medicus.
Photographs: They are included only if they provide a better understanding of the text. They will be 300 DPI (dots per inch) and have black and white opaque bodies.
Tables: They must be identified with consecutive Arabic numbers and a title that identifies the content. They are clear and concise. Acronyms and abbreviations are always accompanied by an explanatory note at the bottom of the table. They must include an explanatory note at the bottom of the table.
Graphs: They must be identified with consecutive Arabic numbers and a title that identifies the content. They must include an explanatory note at the bottom of the graph.
Conflicts of interest: The author must declare that he is not influenced by any entity or personal interest, and that the research is not compromised or biased, which provides a reliable work.
