Resumen
Introduction: Dengue, Chikungunya, and Zika virus infections have been associated with ocular manifestations such as neuroretinitis, vasculitis, choroiditis, chorioretinitis, venous obstruction, macular edema, foveolitis, among others. Objective: The purpose of the study is to describe a case series of patients with ocular disease after arbovirus infections. Methodology: This is a descriptive retrospective case series describing the findings of ocular manifestations secondary to arbovirus infections. Results: Thirteen patients infected with Dengue, five with Chikungunya, and four with Zika were presented. Twelve of which were male and ten females, with ages ranging from 18 to 62 years. Conclusion: Dengue is the infection with the highest recurrence of ocular manifestations. Steroid and anti-VEGF treatment, based on the available evidence, demonstrated a positive impact on the evolution of visual acuity. Conservative management in patients with central retinal vein obstruction was effective for those who did not present an ischemic variant. Optic atrophy was the most frequently observed complication, and improved once the inflammatory condition has been resolved.
